Garlic Butter Steak Bites

3 lbs round steak cut into bites, or chuck roast or stew meat

(all meat is easier to cut if it is partially frozen)

1/2 onion diced

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

4 tablespoons butter

1 cup beef broth

Sauce

1⁄2 to 1 stick of butter

2 teaspoons minced garlic

Place the butter (or oil of your choice) in the insert of an Instant Pot or other electric

pressure cooker and set it to saute. Brown the bites in batches. Don’t overcook them.

Add the onions and cook them until they are sweating. When all the meat has been

browned and the onions smell delicious, place the rest of the ingredients back into the

pot. Turn off the saute setting. Set the valve to sealing and set the pressure for 20

minutes. Release the pressure naturally. While it is releasing, make your garlic butter. I

like to use about half a stick of melted butter and add minced garlic. Garlic powder,

garlic salt, or Spice Islands Organic Garlic and Herb Seasoning also work really well.

Taste it to make sure it is to your liking. Once the meat is ready, strain it (reserve juices)

and slather it with the melted butter. Serve immediately.

Tip: You can make a gravy by stirring 1 tablespoon cornstarch in with 1⁄2 cup of water. Then

whisk it in with the steak juices. Switch the Instant Pot to the sauté setting and cook for 3-5

minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Great over egg noodles and served with a side of steamed broccoli. YUM!
